Terms

Terms of service

These terms cover what you can expect from Everly, and what we ask of you. We've kept the legalese to the minimum the law requires.

Last updated · May 7, 2026

By creating an account or using Everly, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@everly.app and we'll explain in plain language.

1. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Everly. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for the activity that happens under your account.

2. Your content

Everything you upload — interview answers, photos, audio, videos, ceremony drafts, tributes — remains yours. By uploading, you grant Everly a limited license to store, process, render, and transmit that content solely so we can provide the service to you and the people you've invited.

You confirm that you have the right to share the content you upload, including any photos or stories that involve other people.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't upload content that isn't yours to share.
  • Don't use Everly to harass, deceive, or harm anyone.
  • Don't attempt to break, probe, reverse engineer, or overload our systems.
  • Don't use Everly for content unrelated to remembrance ceremonies and memorials.

4. AI-generated drafts

Everly uses AI to draft ceremony sections from the information you provide. Drafts are starting points — please review them before use. We don't claim ownership of generated text; once produced, it belongs to you.

5. Plans and payment

Everly's premium features are available as one-time purchases per ceremony. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Refunds are handled on a good-faith basis — if something went wrong, reply to your receipt email and we'll make it right.

6. Memorial pages

Public memorial pages are accessible to anyone with the link. You decide what to publish, when to take it down, and whether to require a password. Guestbook entries are moderated by you.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Everly available, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced when possible.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend an account that violates these terms — we'll always try to contact you first if it's safe to do so.

9. Liability

Everly is provided "as is." To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you by email and post the update here before they take effect.
